we are trying to put some 2001 GSR seats into a 98 dx hatch. im pretty sure i need to swap the rails, is this true ? if i do have to swap the rails how do i go about doing it. i have already started to take the driver side seat from the 98 hatch apart. i cant seem to figure out how to get the rail all the way off. do i need to take the rail apart where the lever is to lean the seat back or do i just unbolt the whole thing. also the only whole that dosent seem to line up is the back inside ones. i was thinking about using the rail off the 98 dx seats on that side and then leaving the stock rail on the GSR on the side near the door. what do you guys think?

I put those seats in my 99dx and I got 3 out of 4 bolts, you can fab a little metal plate to get the last one.

 

yeah he is rolling around on just three bolts right now im just trying t figure out how to do it 100%. thanks for your reply if worst comes to worst i guess he can just go like it is. anybody else have any ideas?

Just take the seat mounting brackets off, and swap with the GSR rails. The seat will bolt right in.

 

just drive around with 3 bolts in...its not bad thats how my gsr seats are in my ej8... better than my fren and his del sol seats in his hx... only 2 bolts held it in hahahahaha whatta dummy

but the rails from ur civic seats should just come off if u undo those bolts on the side... if not just keep taking out bolts till it comes off...then assemble the rails onto the teg seats

 

on the one side where the lever is to recline the seat i just need to take off the bottom two bolts right. not the who rail? if i do have to take off the whole thing how do i get to the top bolt on that side it up on the side of the back support of the seat.
