Difference between plug wires fro VTEC and non-VTEC motors?
I just purchased some NGK plug wires, part number HE82, which the shop owner said was made for all B-series. When I got home however, I found out that the HE82's were for a B18B LS/GS intega. I have a B16 and it says the part number for a B16/B18C1 is HE64. Anyone know if there are any differences between the two? Will the ones made for an LS work on a B16? Any drawbacks to using them?
Thats what I'm trying to figure out. Is the difference just in the wire lengths/sizing, or are they designed differently for VTEC and Non-VTEC motors? Because I tried, and the wires for the LS snap into place on my B16.
i think that the VTEC wires will have less resistance in them because when your in VTEC you have to burn more fuel than a LS/GS engine but then again thats just a guess from me. but its still something to think about
