Default Question about thermostat housing?

When you are reinstalling the thermostat housing neck do you need to put honda bond on it to seal it?

When I did mine, I put some on the gasket material (the black rubber) that is inside the housing. I didn't put any on the actual metal of the bubble shaped housing.

If I remember correctly, the service manual I have recommended doing this.

It won't negatively affect anything, so I'd say go for it.

It can't hurt it, so go for it.

HondaBond = Automotive Duct tape.
