My clutch pedal clicking is back...
Just thought I would offer a place for everyone to vent their clutch pedal clicking woes...
Mine had gone away for a few months, and is now back in full force. I can hear (and feel) 4 or 5 distinct clicks as I both press and release the pedal!
Has anyone had any luck getting it fixed?

I just took my car to the dealer for a routine oil change. I mentioned a similar problem to the service guy with regards to the clutch noise. My clutch (maybe something else?) seems to make a faint "pop" or "click" when I engage. However, they reported that nothing is wrong with it; "just normal clutch operation." Maybe they're not looking in the right place for the problem...but there is defnitely a noise and it gets irritating.
There was a post on this a while back...several others reported similar findings. Hope this gets resolved someday.

The clutch fork is most likely bent. This same thing was discussed at length on the TypeR list on eGroups some time ago and that was the culprit for the problem.
Please keep in mind, replacing the clutch assembly alone will not solve the problem either. I never investigated how involved replacing the clutch fork was or if it was even worth it. Mine started doing it at 20K miles and I have a feeling it would start again in another 20K if I replaced it so why bother IMO since it doesn't interfere with the clutch operation or longevity.

Mine does that too... there's actually a return coil spring on the pedal arm itself that I think is making the noise. It's a little "boing!" at the very top and bottom of the stroke. I'm going to have that spring replaced at my next visit... we'll see if that clears it up.
Mine did this and it was the clutch cylinder that was bolted on to the fire wall. Changed it and problem solved.

yeah my clutch has been making a loud clattering noise. This guy said it was the release bearing. I am just going to replace the whole clutch. my car has 143k miles on it. I don't want other problems down the road
