Default Bilstein PSS9's

Lest i should anger the gods of this forum, let me say i have searched this item and found no response. I have heard a lot about this suspension system from some friends on the VW websites and friends with VW's IRL. Is it overkill? It seems like a very well balanced and complete system, even the PSS system, but is this type of set up really only meant for track cars? I am planning on building up my coupe handling wise, hopefully anticipating some autox time, but not really sure it will happen. This will mostly be for myself with real road time, some canyon carving, but mostly the room to expand if i choose. I really don't like buying parts over and over so i would like to invest in a complete well balanced system that will allow me room to grow with. right now i just have stock shocks and a set of eibach pro kits and a free set of enduratechs i test ran.

A friend of mine installed a kit on his E36 325is. Its very comfortable on the highway and around town and a pretty good kit for autocrossing. It seems its a more street oriented kit than a track oriented kit. I'd check to see if bilstein offers revalving and stiffer springs in case you want to go that route later.

Just the opposite actually, the PSS9 is much more of a street coilover. Would perform decent on track I am sure, but not a setup you would put in a track car.

Saw a few posts on a mostly BMW list that I'm on. No one seemed to like the valving on the PSS9's. These were mostly track junkies.
