This GTi was bought in August 2000. The car was used for 6 months then traded on a 1.8t when I bought it. It had 8,000 miles on it when I got it. After 2,000 miles I knew that I had to have more power out of the 2.0. I put it in the shop for 3 months and had it completely transformed.

I still have the stock wheels, suspension, and a set of painted eye-lids that will go with the car.
The car had 10,000 miles on it when I put it in the shop. This car is a serious sleeper. It has never once seen the track so I have no idea what it runs.
It runs at 14psi every day. The turbo can put out over 27psi, but the ECU is only setup to run 16psi MAX. With a little tuning and a few ECU and fuel modifications, it can handle tons more boost with the current modifications. There are no oil leaks and it DOES NOT smoke!

Thanks for the reply... I answered your questions in an e-mail... I've been out of town the last few days. There isn't a dyno anywhere near Shreveport so I don't have any numbers. It has the ATP stage 2 kit components on it and according to ATP it's supposed to put out 200-220hp. I can tell you it's got a ton of torque. It could use a good dyno tuning session, as could every turbo car. Anyone have any other questions? Anyone have an offer?

Oh and it has a clean/clear title. The reason I'm selling is because I just wanted a new project, I can't stay with one project for very long so I picked up an EG hatch with a swap.
Oh, I just remembered I bought an extended 5 year warranty when I bought the car in 1999 so it should expire around August 2004.

One thing I don't understand is why would you prefer a 1.8t to a 2.0t? Is the 1.8t that much better in design? What stops you making more power from an engine .2 liters more of displacement then with a 1.8t?

I think the car runs low 15 as is but i bet a dynotune will bump it to hi 14s cose it is running a litle rich. "kinda lika a honda". the car is in Shreveport Louisiana 2and 1/2 hours from dallas
