I'm not a big Autometer fan but if I had to pick between those two choices, I guess I'd still go Autometer.

Although I would geally go with Greddy's

Depends what gauges you want to get. Defi and Greddy are good, as well as Apex. Autometer is like a standard. I have autometer on my hatch, nothing fancy since most of them do basically the same thing.

You think autometer is expensive???? Triple their price for some Greddy or Blitz gauges.

If want more of a import look...trash the autometer junk and go with APEXi or GReddy. I know they are pricy, but look and function better. But that's just my opinion.

"import gauge?"

Whats the point?

Autometer reads in measurements that you should be familiar with. Not everyone knows how to do BAR = PSI or similar measurements offhand. Or, are these just for looks? If thats the case, get a line of timex stopwatches glued on your dash, yo!

They all pretty much work the same way. I have the autometer silver faced gauges in my car, works great no complaints. Besides i'd be pissed if my 200dollar gauges got stolen.

lol. I can just see it: "Look at my mad tight indiglo clock, y0. It's even got the JDM chrome hook."

As far as Ractive or Autometer, I'd go with Autometer. They're affordable and get the job done.

Another difference between Greddy/APEXi and Autometer gauges is that the Greddy/APEXi come with their own sensors. You dont have to tap into the vehicles sensors and wires.

Last time I checked Autometer EOP, Temp, EGT, and other gauges come with sensors. ???
Greddy gause come with pre-made wire harnesses from the sensor to the gauge. Some very nice harnesses. Autometers don't, you have to run your own wires.

I guess I was looking at some old version AM gauges, but I prefer the APEXi or Greddy. My setup consists of a APEXi pressure and egt gauge and the tach. All black face and they look very nice at night. I need to take a pic one day.

if that's the case, check out Autometer's new Cobalt Series. They're black faced and are reversed EL gauges like the Apexi.
