Sohc NON vtec si head on dx block.. HELP

Any one every put a 91 Sohc si head on a dx block? I Put it all together but the damn thing Idles like a mustang. HELP.

Do you have it timed right? What kind of non-vtec head are you talking about? A d16a6 head? Also what year DX block did you put it on? If you are talking about a 88-91 d16a6 head on a 88-91 DX block the heads are identical except for the cams. I would check out your timing.
