im looking for something to "smoke" my taillights [make it darker] dont ask why just need to find. ive heard of candy apple red. i want something black

 

Try window tinting film...That is what I plan on doing.

 

if you look around, they actually sell paint specifically for smoking lights... try your local "accessory" shops or aka ricer shops...they should have em

 

get the "transparent" spray paints. They usually come in lil cans.

 

Use VHT Nite Shades. That stuff will give you the best results.

Testors makes transparent spray paint. Comes in small *** cans - go to your local walmart, or for more money - hobby shop, and go towards the models and the paint should be right there. In walmart its like $1.69/ can and one can is pleanty for any taillights/headlights/side markers.

 

id opt for the film..that way if ur tired of the black look then u can change back..otherwise ur going to have to replace the whole piece

 

I sprayed mine with transparent black paint and it matches my car nicely bcause i've got a black hatch. you can get the paint at hobby shops for sure. and don't make your tail lights too dark or you may get pulled over.
