This happened this afternoon: I started my car up and drove away from where i parked. The car all of a sudden feels like it has lost 70 hp or something. I wasnt hearing any strange noises or smelling any burning. My car shifted fine but it just didnt have any power to accelerate. Ex: i was flooring it in first and it felt like i was flooring it in third. This was very peculiar because i had driven it 30 minutes before and it was running fine then. I then parked it and popped the hood to check for anything that could be messed up. Well it ended up the car started feeling fine, power was back. WHAT could have caused that moment of power loss? ecu?

 

perhaps some sort of fuel mishap. if it doesnt happen again, its no biggie. how long was it parked?? maybe it got cold.

have you done all the maintenence recommended? check obvious things like your throttle cable, plugs, plugwires, etc.

other than that...baonest says it right...maybe gas starvation...or bad gas.

 

I've gotten what I figured was bad gas before... car runs like **** until you get gas again then runs perfect. *shrug*

 

woo hoo finally i said somthing right.

 

Maybe it did, for real. When the engine isn't warmed up, the car won't switch over to the high cams.
