Can anyone give me good fuel curve settings for wide open with there v-afc to get more power, I'm rinnin a little ritch right now with a tail andinjectors I just want more power and want to program it right. Any help would be great, thanks.

 

first off, what motor u got?? what is done to it?? what are ur settings??? more info would help.

 

go get your car dynoed and tuned

 

you cant just play with a vafc and make power
you need to have it tuned, or if your compotent and have a wideband o2 sensor and data logger. you can tune it yourself.

 

d16z6, aem fuel rail, venom injectors, holly adjustable fuel pressure regular, denso iridium spark plugs, MSD wires, holly header, greddy SP cat-back, and I think thats all.

 

First off to make more power let me just make some other suggestions! Ditch the venom injectors and switch them back to stock you car doesn't have enough upgrades to have injectors! I would also go back to stock wires and stock NGK plugs thats just personal preference though! Also I personally don't like AFC's but the only way your going to make power out of it is to get your car on a dyno otherwise you can cause serious damage to your motor if you don't know what you are doing

 

I got a little project I'm workin on now that I will need the injectors and I love my densos, thanks for your help though, and does anyone know how to get the licence plate holder thing on the back of the sols off

Dont take this the wrong way or anything because Im not trying to clown on you or anything but this is what your 4th post or so on this sight so your still kind of new here so let me tell you this you will run into alot of intelligent people on this sight who know halfway what they are talking about now let me tell you what you did wrong on this post so you learn from this experience so you don't get clowned on in the future!
1.You said you were running to rich (Dont you think you should take my advice that you don't need upgraded injectors right now use them later for the project that you say you have in the future BUT NOT NOW)
2.Everyone posted that you need to tune you V-AFC on a dyno for it to properly work for you you totally are ignoring what we are telling you because we are not telling you what you want to hear and then you change the subject in the end to how do you get your license plate thing off

Trust me take your car to a Dyno if you want with all the parts on your car that you have on there now and see how much power it produces. Then take my advice and go back to the dyno and see what the differences are then come back and talk to us! You asked for advice we are just trying to give you friendly advice so why not take it

You need to hit the dyno first to notice any changes. I personally don't see the reason as to why you have bigger injectors, probably one of the reasons why you're running rich. Have the car tuned, then see what you get with the vafc. You can't just program it to give you more HP#'s. Good luck.

 

No matter what anyone says you need to go to a dyno and have it tuned with a wideband 02 sensor hooked up - PERIOD.

Add a fuel pressure regulator so that you can add fuel across the board and then use the V-AFC to trim away fuel on the rich spots.

I gurantee that you're probably running way lean in some spots, while running rich in other rpm ranges.

Ill echo what the other guy was saying in that you NEED to ditch those shitty Venom injectors.

First of all Venom injectors suck. they have a much higher failure rate than the O.E Honda ones from what I've seen in over 8 years in this Honda thing, and you have no mods that warrnt such big injectors.

Secondly how can you love a spark plug?

Sorry to burst any bubbles, but I seriiusly doubt that those Denso plugs are making any more power than stock NGK ZFR5F11 plugs will.

Worst of all is this:

You're paying an ungodly amount for some spark plugs that you're just going to FOUL OUT because you're probably running way RICH in some spots of your rpm range.

Bottom line?

Swap the O.E Honda injectors back in until you NEED bigger ones, and once you need bigger ones get some RCs and not Venoms.

Swap in cheaper NGK plugs so that when you ruin them by running rich you only ruined $12.00 worth of plugs instead of those pricey-*** Iridiums.

 

Thanks for everyones help it is only my second car and I'm trying to build it right I was just curious if people could tell me there settings so I could get around spending a couple hundred dollars for a couple hours on the dyno.

 

hey dick I just turned 18 and am working part time (still in school) so for what I got is damn good, and I thought the purpose of these for was to help people not rag on there engines, hell if you had a car as nice mine when you where 18 I would be surprised unless you turned to mommy for everything, and my dseries beat a WS6 last night (I was just as surprised) so you can kiss my *** and I think I will stay. If I could afford to build a B I would.

Was the Ws6 on? Cause im sure you can understand why your 16 second delsol doesnt stand a chance against a possible high 12, low 13 second car. In fact, im not going to justify you saying that with any more comments. Get to a dyno, and before you make "come-back" statements, look who you are responding to. Granted alot of HT members now very little and think they know alot, thus spreading misinformation, but a few of the guys know their **** to the T. The only thing ill partially agree with is your denso's, they did help my car in throttle responce and ease of starts. Anyway, dyno time kid.

it wasn't a full run it was just a short little race from light to light and he had a shitty launch and an auto, I'm the first to admit he would have killed me in the quarter but in my eyes a race is a race and I won.

second of all, i personally think a ricer is someone who puts all kind of goofy *** stickers on their ride, gets an intake and a fart can, installs those fagety-*** srayer l.e.d.'s, and has chrome homeycaps. i dont think someone starting out their car that they've only had for about 6-7 months with some pretty respectable bolt-ons out of a part-time job is pretty good. c'mon seriously, greddy exhaust is definetly rice. a fart can is rice people. for all i know, you haters could have those big coffee can exhaust things bolted to you ride. we have the turbo-setup nearly done right now. we are working on all necessary charge piping and having a cutsom downpipe made. and he didnt just get a kit. we are piecing it together with 2g dsm parts. so apparently, since turbo plans are rice, take your ****** turbo setup apart so YOU arent rice.

and as for the ws6 goes. i was in the car. yes the ws-6 would wail on him. but the fact is we got a 1car launch on it. it was light to light and when it was time to slow down, we were ahead. put it this way, you could have the fastest car in the world but it wouldnt be **** with out a good driver and it would lose. you could the most power of anyone you know, but if have shitty 195 tires and all that power is not worth anything.
