RSX swap to a Civic????
I have a 96 Honda Civic LX Sedan, and I think I saw in some magazine that they swapped an RSX engine into a civic, I was wondering if that is possible for my car or if I should just go with the B18C5 (type R) or the B18C1. Any suggestions????
go for it. it'll cost ya some $$$. do more research on it. there is someone who swapped, but I don't believe there is a mounting kit for it yet.
I would just stick with the B series unless you want to wait and get the K series.

yeah, if you do get that swap now....it will cost a grip, cuz there is no mount kit fo rit yet, it has to be specially made (i think), just depends on how patient you can be. The swap can be done though, if that gives you any hope....good luck
that sounds like too much of a hassle and it probably would cost major $$$. If you got the money for a B-series i would just go with that for now.
i believe someone on this board sells or can make the mounts for it. i saw in his sig. saying if you want k series mounts for ek contact him, but i don't remember who it is.
dr.charles(area 51) did it! there is a mount kit but (motor)$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$i believe it's running 13's..(stock) my hommie is getting work done from him and told me about it..in a ek

The RSX motor that was swapped into a Civic was a K-series swap for a K-series engine. The article was in the December 2002 SCC. What you are considering doing is a lot more work and $$$.
Well one of my friends has an RSX engine and is willing to sell it to me for about $2000...I got a few friends who can hook me up with cheap labor to get it installed, but I dont know what exactly it is that all this would require other than just an engine and cheap labor, any ideas???? Otherwise I guess I could go for the B18C5 (type R)...would the H22 fit my 96 civic sedan LX? Im tryin to create the greatest civic sedan in Washington DC....not much competition here anyway...but I represent!

there's more to it than an easy bolt in and plug and play...
you really need to do your research and have the funds before starting this project...
but good luck and show us the goods when you're done
I saw some mounts for a K series motor in a 96-00 civic.. very trick looking.. just PM Pacman on this board he is designing some mounts I hear for this setup
