Best thing ever: Chilton's part #8256
Trending Topics
I have a chilton specifically for our cars and then also another chilton that is for like all imports from 90-95 and also the honda oem manual I must say that the oem manual is the best, than the chilton (for our cars) is ok a lot better than the other chilton. Oh and I believe that the oem manual is around $100 but I am not too sure havent checked out the price for it in a long time and the one I have I got it with my parts car
i got a 90 integra factory manual and a 90 civic factory manual and they rock anus ! these things have saved my azz too many times !
would u say that the chiltons is better than the helms??
the helms is the factory service manual. it about 10 times ticker than the chiltons, has 100 times the information, and everything is exactly correct for our cars. there is no comparison between the two.

why what happend?
I have used the small Chiltons, Haynes, All-Data, and Mitchell On Demand, but the bigger chiltons is by far the best. I can not get a Helms around here and have not had a chance to look through oe so I can not compare them. The Chiltons has very complete wiring and vacuum diagrams as well as diagrams of anything else you would need. Even stuff you don't (like a cutaway view of how the MAP sensor works).

OOOooohhh. You are talking about the thick chilton's. My mechanic has a bunch of these, they are pretty thorough. They work for the very basic to intermediate problems. I would rather have a Helms though. One of these days....
I can not get a Helms around here
How much did it cost and where'd you get it? I think the Helms was $65 for my car. Do you know how much the Honda OEM manual costs?

The OEM costs $65. It's the same book.

to my understanding, helms makes the oem factory manuals for honda, so though it might look different, it has the exact same content.

the newest chilton CRX manual sucks fat ***. I had it and it seemed like everything you wanted to know how to do, they tell you to "Get a professional technician to do it". It was complete bullshit and a waste of money. My brother bought me the older Chiltons manual off ebay and it was MUCH better, none of that "Consult a professional technician" ****
I can't afford to pay $65 on a manual, no matter how much it's gonna help me. I've accessed the helms for the crx on a website before, but not the hatch. I know most stuff is the same, but does anyone know if there's a site with a 90-91 civic hb manual?
