how do you ship a swap?
this guy wants to buy a swap from me, but i would have to ship it to him.so how do i do that?
can i just take the swap to ups and have them package it up for me and send it off? this guy is going to pay for shipping anyway.

well I packaged mine myself.
I put everything in spots thats wouldn't get damaged (axles untop of valve cover etc.) on a pallet.
Straped it down real tight.
wrapped it a million times.
made sure everything was secure.
Sent the ecu seperate.

Call like Hmotorsonline or some other internet swap place..and ask what company they use to ship...and there u go...ull answer ur own question....
im receiving mine at my local roadway terminal. you take it to them on a palate, they put it on a gig truck and drive it to terminal closest to the destination. then it either goes on a smaller truck to the house, or the buyer picks it up.
do a search for "shipping company" on google, itll give you sites where you put in the information, and like 10 companies give you a quote.

The domestic side of my brain has shipped quite a few rollcages, full width axles, and motors via shipinc.com. Check the LTL rates, which are 'less than (truck)load" packages. They often are cheapest by a signifigant margin.
