Default 98 prelude vs 98 GSR

if both are stock and both have equal drivers, which one would win the 1/4 mile? (both are manual transmission)

i would like the gsr to win but i think the h22 prelude would take it , considering that they are both bone stock

i say the gsr. Preludes are way to heavy. Besides gsr redlines at 8200. Preludes i believe some where around 7. I drive a GSR the only preludes i fear are the SH models and the 92-96 vtec version.

i believe both vtec and sh models are rated at 195, just that the SH has the active torque transfer feature.

i always thought the sh models were slower then the base because of the atts unit, making the car slightly heavier. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Coming from an ex 1998 Type SH Prelude owner to a gsr.... Type SH is slower by a fraction of a second barely because of the added pounds (50-100..forgot the exact #)... A prelude would win though but if you were to put the same mods on the lude vs the same mods on the gsr....gsr would win...they respond way better. Type SH has ATTS, active torque transfer system..helping in cornering...hope that helps...

Before he totalled it, I consistently beat my friend's '99 SH by a 1/2 car to a car. At the time, I was essentially stock. He had 18" C2's, matrix intake, and apexi n1. Uphill and downhill...boy was I surprised. I KNOW it would've been a different scenario if he had his stock wheelies. I heard you can rev the H22A4 up to about 8k safely? Anyone have evidence thereof?

in my opinion i think preludes are being overrated and gsr's are being underrated on this topic! i beat my friends 94prelude vtec.

Honestly 5th Gen Lude and a 3rd Gen Integra GS-R is a VERY CLOSE race, STOCK.

Totally driver's race. I know this from experience.

I test drove a 97 Prelude SH the other day. I found it sooo slow, No powerband whatsoever. GSR would spank it.

when i had my gsr, i would run against my friends 97 lude. i would beat all day long. we switched cars and he would beat me, but only by a lil bit. if i knew how to drive his prelude well, maybe the lude would win ,or be equal because hes an average driver. depends on the situation i think. pretty close though

One my good friends has an 01 SH and he and I used to always race. We were both completely stock, and we came out equal almost everytime. we would be going equal and then right at the end of his V-Tech he would pull just a bit, and then he would have to shift and then I pull on him til I shift. This happened everytime unless one of us really messed up. And by the way, he always takes his car to 8,000 and it hasn't done any harm yet.
