Hey guys,

I'm picking up a set of of Falken Azeni's in a month or so, and would I be able to do 195/60/14's? Will I rub at all, even with stock wheels? I have H&R Sport springs and Koni Red struts, if that helps.

i have GC coils with Koni yellows and 195/60/14 Falkens with no rubbing.

you should be fine

 

i have 195's on crx alloys on 88hb sittin on sprints 2 1/2" no rubbing..195's are taller than 185 60's though so ur gearing is a lil taller with them

 

Well, considering I have 205/50/15's on a 2" drop and don't have and rubbing problems, you should be fine.

Actually fullmetaljacket they are not taller, they are wider. 195 is the width. Anyways I am running 195/60/14 dropped 3.5 inches on rx springs and there is no rub. You should be fine.

 

i think they are a little bit taller. switched the 185/65/14s to 195/60/14.

 

They are taller and wider what the numbers stand for like say 195/60r14 195 is 195 mm across the top of the tire and the 60 is 60% of the width and the r radial (duh) and then the 14 tire size in inches (also duh) Oh I worked at firestone for like 2 years so thats where I got my info.....

 

I recently got a great deal on some 88 CRX Si 'Teardrop' alloys. Are these the same width as the 90-91's ?

What would be the widest tire I could safely fit on them ? 195's as well ?

And for a 195, what height would perform better ? 65,60,50 ?

same width as 90-91..i think there either 5.5'' or just 5''..i have some from a 89 and I run 195's 60...If they make 50's thats what id get..65 will too tall..id assume the 50's would handle best..

 

would it be possible to put 205's on CRX Si wheels?

 

The sidewalls would have a lot more 'flop' to them than you're used to... oversizing the tires for the rims tends to make the turn-in less responsive, in my experience. The Azenis shouldn't have this problem to the same degree as their sidewall is VERY stiff.

I'm using 195/60R14s as well
