Default old/ cracked tyres

going to big willow on 22nd, but just noticed that my Toyo T1-S have cracks around the edges of the tread. It's probably due to age/heat, since they're about 2.5yrs old.

The tyres still have plenty of tread on them, but would it be okay to run them on a road course? Should I get new tyres?

yshi - who'd show pix, but hasn't seen his digicam in a few weeks

run what j00 brung!

my tyres are also a few years old and have some cracks...

I would order the new set (to have as back up) and take the T1-S's to the event and burn them to the ground.

I'll be using last years Expo tires again this year.

Just check those T1's for tread separation and condition once in a while.

I wouldn't worry about it - it's from ozone pollution - you likely have more of that stuff in SoCal.

The steel belt carcass will keep the tire together - the worst you will get is a flat.

Check tire pressure often

You can also try Meguirs tire treatment, forgot the name, next time but it prevents cracks and other stuff like that.
