Hey 4g guys, i am doing a swap for a friend. He has a 90 crx SI, and we are putting a d16y8 into it tonight. I will use all the motor mounts from the si, the tranny/flywheel/clutch/starter, etc. from the crx, and i will be useing the INTAKE manifold from the si as well. Now it seems from my recollection that the water passages through the manifold from the head, are a little different on the y8 head from the SI manifold. Now my question is.....

What intake manifold gasket do I use, d16y8 head, with crx si manifold.

i didnt think the water ways were different. i would use the si intake manifold gasket. how are you going to be rerouting the water passages anyways?

all the d series intake manifold gaskets are the same. doesnt matter what you use. same w/ header gaskets.

 

Not all d series intake gaskets are the same, crx has a round water passage and y8 is square. I've used either combination and both work fine.
