Default help. Trying to paint my rear tiebar.

I have a chrome dc tiebar on my integra, and the shiny look of it is irritating me now. I don't have money to buy a different one. And I'm too lazy to take it off, that's why I'm wondering if it would be hard to just paint it while its still on there...oh yea, I want to paint it matte gunmetal, or black. Do I need to sand and primer it also or can I just primer it?..Thanks for the help.

damn dude, you're lazy. Don't want to take it off, so you rather cover everything up, try to primer it and then paint it all while it's installed. It only takes a minute to loosen up some bolts.

Actually those bolts are a pain, just lining up the control arm is pretty frustrating. Its going to look like *** if you paint it on the car, so remove it or deal.

I don't think the primer would stick to well on your bar. At least scuff it up a little with sand paper, and clean it well.
