how to get more torque?

what is the best way to get lots of torque?? do i get a better tranny, over bored pistons, or cams.

basically increase in displacement will increast torque through out the Powerband.. of course easist way is to bore the block.. but best is to actually stroke it...or just get a bigger block... or get a turbo =P

A supercharger is actually better than all three of those...but a combination of a bigger bore, higher compression and forced induction will net you quite a bit more. If you're really looking for big torque, you bought the wrong brand of car.

i agree, i have a 1970 chevy nova which i never have to smog!!!! i love the torque that baby, but when i get in to my civic, its like slow as **** compare to the nova. i will be doing some builting on my motor in couple months so i am trying to make it have a little bit more torque.

If you want to stick with honda's get yourself a h22.If you sticking with a stock sohc motor get some naaawwwzz or turbo super charger and whatever else they got.

B20 man, torque monster. Go B20/VTEC, My friend has a daily driven eg and he does ll.80's. No need for downshifting in his car. Do the swap right and its alot of fun.
