Default cutting bumpstops on tein ra's

whats up, i have ra's on a 94 coupe. the coilovers are technically for the itr so since my car is alot lighter im having to lower them more and it is making the ride harsher than it needs to be... should i cut the bumpstops in half or just raise the car up 1"? my car is not that low right now, but it is still probibly over an inch lower than the coils would be if they were on an itr. im worried if i cut the bumpstops ill damage the shocks sooner. thanks

just lower ur car to the height u want it, dont cut bumpstops, u can ruin the shock that way, there designed to have that there for a purpose. Owner of TEIN TYPE FLEX

most of the posts i see about coilover with ground controls suggest that you cut the bumpstops, i was thinking it would be the sme with true coilovers... i love my teins too... once i got used to them
