Im putting a b18c1 head from an LSVTEC setup back onto a B18C1 block and was wondering if i needed to fill in the dowel pin holes on the head so they have back to stock/factory. Ive already removed the hole that u plug up on the head and was wondering if it is a "must" that I redo the dowel pin holes.

I dont think you have to worry about them, but if you are just fill them in anyways.

 

Anyone else?? I need to know ASAP because my head is getting milled tomorrow and I want to know so i can tell the guy to fill them in or not. Thanx for the feedback

 

correct me here, you're taking a lsvtec head and undoing it right?

if so you have to move the doul pins back towards the front of the head. with the lsvtec setup the doul pins are moved to the back...

 

I didn't fill them, just relocate the pins to where they're supposed to be. Had no problems so far.
