idleling problems help !

Default idleling problems help !

i was sooped to run my car and i couldnt wait any longer , so i slapped on a d- series distributor and a ecu from a singlebanger dx nonvtec . now once i start the car it idles at like 2 gees then like a min later it goes up and down like if i was tapping the gas from 2k to 1 1/2 constantly up and down but once the car is warmed up . it just chills on like 1k ...im not facing any power problems or anything ,thing pulls like a beast rus good ..the only issues imhaving is once the car is cold idles nutty like that ..could it be that im using a d series distributor and ecu. rght now i dont have the cash to buy a dist or ecu ,..

Depending on what motor/motor set up you have, it could be alot of reasons. Maybe you IACV is messed up...or maybe even a messed up VAC line. If anything, I would guess it's the IACV. Other things can be stupid little **** such as TPS, Coolant Temperature Sensor and a bunch of other bullshit...Check your timing and TPS and work from there..Good Luck

easiest/fastest/most effective solution to 90% of these problems ist he IAC screw....there is a screw on the throttle body with a slot in it...get a screwdriver, turn it while idling until your idle sounds half decent

Then the idle would be different when the car is warm. He said that he only has this problem when it is cold.

take off the IACV and wash the little net with some carb cleaner.

that's most likely the problem.
