idleling problems help !
i was sooped to run my car and i couldnt wait any longer , so i slapped on a d- series distributor and a ecu from a singlebanger dx nonvtec . now once i start the car it idles at like 2 gees then like a min later it goes up and down like if i was tapping the gas from 2k to 1 1/2 constantly up and down but once the car is warmed up . it just chills on like 1k ...im not facing any power problems or anything ,thing pulls like a beast rus good ..the only issues imhaving is once the car is cold idles nutty like that ..could it be that im using a d series distributor and ecu. rght now i dont have the cash to buy a dist or ecu ,..
Depending on what motor/motor set up you have, it could be alot of reasons. Maybe you IACV is messed up...or maybe even a messed up VAC line. If anything, I would guess it's the IACV. Other things can be stupid little **** such as TPS, Coolant Temperature Sensor and a bunch of other bullshit...Check your timing and TPS and work from there..Good Luck
easiest/fastest/most effective solution to 90% of these problems ist he IAC screw....there is a screw on the throttle body with a slot in it...get a screwdriver, turn it while idling until your idle sounds half decent
