I replaced my original JDM SiVTEC clutch (80000miles) today with a OEM ITR clutchcover/pp/throw out bearing. Before today my clutch pedal was sort of heavy/stiff to press (which i liked) and it would bite very near to the floor, whereas now the pedal is very light/soft and it bites up near the top of the pedal. I'm pleased with it and it seems to bite stronger than the old one and put the power down better (imagination???) So can someone tell me why i have a softer pedal feel, does it get stiffer with time, and is there a difference between stock GSR pedal feel and ITR clutch fitted to a GSR?
I just had my stock flywheel re-surfaced as i didnt see the point getting an ITR one for the sake of it being 2lbs lighter, but it does definetly feel as the power is transferred quicker to the wheels after fitting the ITR clutch (this may all be in my imagination??)

I recently installed a Type-R clutch/pressure plate and flywheel and I'm getting the same thing (ie. high pedal engagement). I'm going to try bleeding the clutch fluid and see if this resolves the issue. HTH
