Default Has any re-covered their arm rest cover?

Well, I got my arm rest cover from SMZ GSR today. It came absolutely on time, as described, and the transaction was perfect. I put it in my car, and all was well. Untill I put my arm on it... it's just like the one from my 94 (and it is 98, and leather)... no padding what-so-ever.

I'm just not happy with the overall stock design. I dismantled my old one, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to stick some padding under there, and re-cover it with some leather (pleather).

Has anyone else tried this? It looks fairly simple.. just wondering.

If anyone's interested I'll have a perfect condition, black leather arm rest in a couple weeks.

Ok, I've started the project. I dismantled it (6 screws), and pulled off the fabric. Then I went at the foam for an hour with a razorblade... then realized i was getting nowhere. So I got out some paint thinner/liquid wrench and soaked the foam. 30 seconds later the foam almest fell off by itself...

and the project goes on...
