Clutch problem preemptive to going out, possibly?
I replaced my clutch with an ACT XTSS in abut november because i knew i was going turbo and my stock one was going out anyway. So i got a nice xtreme pressure plate and performance organic street disc, also i got a 7.5lb fidanza flywheel. Now, everytime i push the clutch pedal in a get this "grrrrr nRGrrrrr" noise (the grrrrr is the pedal pushed in and the nRGrrrrr is the pedal coming out)
It can only be heard from inside the car, not in the engine bay (but my buddy could be going totally deaf). I don't know what the problem could be. Any insight could help greatly!

This noise is a common problem in tegs. Your slave cylinder probably needs a little grease. The funny thing is, the sound usually can be heard from the engine bay right around the where the slave cylinder is mounted. Try having your friend depress the clutch while you listen since he could be going deaf...

what he described is exactly what the noise is in my car.
im not too familiar with clutch terminology. Would someone mind describing this process in idiot terms? or pics would help a lot. I am very mechanically inclined, just not so much when i don't know where to start
i guess it is pretty well described, but where is the clutch fork that attaches to the block?

So here is what I did. I ended up pulling off the square shaped boot that goes over the clutch fork that mounts into the block -square shaped hole. I slid it as far to the right as possible so it was over the clutch slave cylinder as much as possible. Doing that exposes the clutch slave cylinder rubber boot. The clutch slave cylinder boot is one of those thin kinked style boots (similar looking to the one that is used on the throttle cable). I pulled the slave cylinder boot as far to the right as possible exposing the metal slave cylinder rod within. I put a good dose of high quality brake lube grease on the metal rod and slid the boot back over to the left in tight position up against the end of the rod where it meets the clutch fork. Then I put the square rubber cover back over the clutch fork and pushed it tightly into the block opening at all edges.

Here a shot of the slave cylinder (SC) in the engine bay (circle in yeller duh):
Slide back the square shaped boot that covers the SC and the end of the clutch fork. Moving this boot over will expose the actual part of the SC we want to get to.
Here is a pic from the Helms manual showing the SC. You can see the kinked boot that covers the actual end of the SC. Pull this kinked boot back to the metal rod inside. Now apply the liberrally apply lube on this rod. Put everything back together and pump the clutch a couple times to to work the grease in and hopefully that will take care of that creak. HTH

is this for 1994+ integras only?
this problem is happening with my 1990 (cable tranny) integra
is there a way i can get to the output shaft without pulling the tranny out?
