No ****! That's the first time I've seen that valve cover. I heard it's a twin carbed d16a6 putting out 215-225 hp.

what's that hose running along the timing belt side of the engine?
IMO since it doesnt have a stock oil pan , its seems it has a special outside oil pump;.. and if u see close u can see another belt from the crank pulley to the bottom..... maybe its just a oil pump...
but it look ssweet......

very cool. im not really into sohc, but i can respect 226hp. my moded b16 has 207. but then again i dont have half as much money into mine as that motor has done to it

My guess in regards to that hose is that it's part of the dry sump system.

In my very old King Motorsports catalog, they had that motor for sale. It was a GT3 full race engine making 215hp. I remember the headers alone were $1850 and that was in 1990 prices.

The intake manifold was $1050 and the valve cover was $850. Crazy prices, but nice stuff.

No, It's a testament to the fact that any motor can be made fast with the right amount of money... Any Dohc with the same amount of investment would put out better numbers.
