Painting valve cover?
when i bought my itr the guy had the valve cover painted yellow on a CW ITR
ive mixed the paint for the true jdm color which will with hold engine temperature, anyone know anything i should be careful with or get a professional todo it? ive heard a few different things and i think its time to get this yellow peice of **** valve cover back to normal

I have not done it myself, but I know that you have to sand the valve cover down, then use crinkle paint to get the OEM look. There is no need to mix anything. There is a crinkle paint that Honda uses is sold to the public. I wouldn't try mixing my own paint. just my .02

i dont have 140$ my R makes me broke as it is
i know about the sanding and the only reason y its mixed is because my friend works in a body shop so he just made up the engine paint for me

here's what i did.........get paint stripper (air craft remover) from your local auto motive store, strip off all the yellow paint, make sure the surface is clean and dry, and have your buddy spray it. I also recommend that you cover up all the holes ie. oil filler, sparkplug caps, bolts, etc.
Note: Be sure your not going to strip a real deal spoon valve cover as well!!! lol
