Default D16Z6, a couple questions... dizzy and mounts?

ok if the car was converted to obd1 (I am not doing the swap) which dizzy would I use, a 92-95? My car is a dx, and will be converted to the mpfi with the swap (using the z6 IM)

also, I would use 88-91 mounts correct? I need this cleared up because I kept reading about 94-95 mounts are different, blah blah...

I tried a search, but too many results to find a simple dizzy question

If you are using the OBD1 ECU (P28) then you will need to use the OBD1 dizzy as well as a 4 wire O2 sensor.

You will use all the 88~91 mounts. You won't use the 92~95 tranny.

Yes you need OBD1 Diz 92-95 Z6 will be perfect....Motor mounts use the 88-91 off your old block. Need to mod the Driverside mount to prevent if from hitting the timing belt good thing you remembered the O2 b/c that one slipped my mind

alright, if the car is converted to obd-1, you would use the 92-95 dizzy on it.
as for the mounts, yes, you use the 88-91 mounts. the one drivers side mount is the only one you'll have to change, you just switch that mount with the one off your 8-91 engine, bolt it up to the tranny, and drop it in
hope this helped

plan on ordering from NIppon motors

ok that's not bad, thanks a lot

what is all this repinning the dizzy then? is that for people not converting to obd1?

yes you may need to repin the Diz depends on where the instructions are coming from. Some Hasport goes by the sensors which are different colored from 88-91 and 92-95 while storminmatt's match colors from the Diz to the ECU. Also gonna need to use either the round SI/HF type plug from the Engine harness and Diz plug or switch it to the gray ones from 92-95
