just bought a vis carbon fiber hood, and i was wondering if i should worry about any fitment issues, or if theres just anything i should know when installing it

Ive got a CF hood on my 90 CRX. Its a Fiber Images hood. It fits great, only thing is that it dosent close properly, so i have to hold the hoold latch back, and lock it down. Other than that, theres no gaps or anything. I love it

 

mine fits ok, i have a fiber image hood and its a ok fit, the front sits on the head lights a little, but besides that its all good, and thats a easy fix.
my old VIS hood fit a little better.
oh and to the guy above me, my fiberimage hood had a had time opening, but i vented the back a little and now it fits fine, you should try that, you put a few washers where the hood bolts down in the back, i just put the washers in the very back holes. i used 5 my friend used 3. and it looks cool, and made my hood fit perfect i like to think they made the hoods so you have to do that

 

I've heard that the VIS stuff is very good. If I get a CF hood that is definatly the one that I will get.

 

I just put my VIS JDM ZC CF hood on tonight and it fits great. My front end is a little low though. need to raise my rad support. I got a deal at $400 from a friend. I had to drive 80 miles to get it from his house though. I'll have pics tomorrow

 

what exactly is the bump on the zc cf hood for...a purpose? also, anybody know about cf hood clearances for a b16a1...i don't think it'd be an issue, but would the zc cf hood close properly with a b16a1?

just want to get the facts straight before something doesn't fit properly and i scream. what i'm saying is that i finally got a good job and now have money to dump into my car, and would enjoy having things going as smooth as possible.

 

the ZC hood has th bump for the car gear cover on the ZC, but with a b16a and the ZC hood it still closes rather well and there is no rubbing.

 

i trust my local tuner more than anyone, and he seems like he swears by vis. its all they order.

i cant really tell you how much i got it for....but lets just say i got hooked the **** up
