Default Tranny Question?

Are the 88 and 89 crx si tranny's the same...
For a 88 si tranny is 100$ decent or should bargain for a lower price?

i think that the number of splines is different, and you have to use the same year tob/pressure plate & clutch for each tranny, i.e. you have to use an 89 tob/pressure plate/clutch for an 89 tranny. correct me if i'm wrong.......

he's right, the 88 has 21 splines while the 89-91 have 20. also the flywheel/clutch disc is smaller: 88 uses 190mm (diameter), 89 uses 200, and 90-91 uses 212.
