Default Rusty Bolts

Man...my resonator was shot and rattling so I got a new (b-pipe?) resonator section from a friend and went to put it on today, to my suprise the previous owner (bought car month ago) didnt use heat grease on the bolts connecting to the cat, all the liquid wrench and all my stregth couldnt move it, I had to goto a muffler shop and have them break the bolts off (break them in half) well point is, heat grease is good, dont let your bolts sieze

By the time the bolts are badly rusted, the exhaust temperature has messed up their heat treating, so they are usually soft & easy to break. I just don't expect to save them when I work on exhaust. Why spend an hour trying to save a dollar's worth of nuts & bolts? Sawzall
