Default Mugen twin loop?

I was considering buying one and was just wondering if anybody using this could pst some feedback on the exhaust.
How loud is it at highway speeds? Are you satisfied with the performance... any feedback would be appreciated.
TIA

I have a cheap replica. I bought it because a friend of mine had one and it was quiet and performed pretty well. I have not installed it on my car yet though.

I love mine to death. You cannot hear it at all at highway speeds really. Its barely louder than stock, but screams in VTEC

As far as performance, there is definitely more power to be made for less $ elsewhere.

Great exhaust for a stock car. Its good for up to 200 whp. The main disadvantage is ground clearance of the middle resonator and weight (i.e.heavy).

I had one on my car for a couple of years and really enjoyed it.

BPR - who has a custom 2.5" SS exhaust now

I can't think of a better exhaust for a daily driven R.

I loved mine to death when I had it with just I/H/C. If I had to buy another exhaust, I'd get Mugen Twinloop without a hesitation.

The sound was perfect on my rear-gutted car.

On the highway if you are cruising you will here the tires and wind noise way before you hear the exhaust.

I like it because it stays pretty quiet at WOT, but when cruising it is silent.

Get it and enjoy it!

Disadvantages include it being heavy, having a couple bottlenecks, and being pretty damn expensive. But on the plus side it sounds nice, is mugen, and adds some serious bling to your ride

It may have bottlenecks, but it has enough flow for a 185+whp R

i really wish we could have dyno comparisons of exhausts. the mugen sounds, by far, the best, but i still wonder how much power it actually produces.

I love my looper... great exhaust, quiet, smooth ride... pritty pricey, but great quality and of coursce you would be paying for the name... I can say I have a Moogen power

But I do hate the resonator for hanging so low other than that I love it.

Ditto, although I do agree that the middle resonator is a little low.

Yup, I have a nice dent in mine, and my car was stock ride height

I wonder if they can just replace the resonator...prob not eh,

on the civic (just an axleback) it sounded a tad better than stock in vtec (with stock header, cat, piping, engine) but it sounded amazing with a bigger header, highflow cat, piping....

now it sounds like *** at all rpms except 6-8k, with a jdm 4-1, un-resonated test-pipe, un-resonated piping.

Heavy, yes...bottlenecks, yes...bling, no, very stock looking compared to the big tipped mufflers

Disadvantages include it being heavy, having a couple bottlenecks, and being pretty damn expensive. But on the plus side it sounds nice, is mugen, and adds some serious bling to your ride

I like mine. The tip is purdy, and it sounds nice and quiet. The price new is a little crazy tho. I only have one because I got an awesome deal on a used one. (thnks BPR )

So how much does your car vibrate now?

BPR: "Your car is hardcore."

Lol, it's funny now, but wait till parts start to rattle themselves free.

Only good up to 200 whp?? why? bottleneck?

I just heard that the middle resonator is huge .........so always scratch !

However, the sound is nice!
