What a difference - I wonder what the rest of the car feels like if the tranny feels this good . Acceleration is so much better now, the shorter gears are awesome.... Tranny is real smooth

Does the LSD make a noticable difference?

I've had one on my GSR for the last couple years. It's great. I can't see driving any other car without an LSD now! hehe! The shorter gears are nice too. Now install some R cams for a bit more power to lay down!

Yeah, makes you wonder why the R isn't faster with shorter gears and 25 more hp...

I bought the tranny off eBay for $1150.00 picked up, it was in Tampa - so right after I got off work at 6:00 PM I drove 3 hours to Tampa and 3 hours back ..

The installation wasn't much, the tranny has 11,000 miles on it and was in great condition when it was inspected!

Most ITR tranny's will run around 1k

Yup, I just put mine in last Sat. Dam this thing kicks ***. LSD made sooo much of a difference in my gsr. Especially with the JRSC. I get way better traction now. Not to mention I rip through the gears way faster. I don't know how I ever used to go to the track with my old tranny. I'll never go back to a open diff.

I got mine for $1,000 with starter from a guy in Sacramento.

for those who want R trannys, talk to b18c1_powered_si on this board. He has over 10 ITR trannys for sale and they have all been inspected by a shop.

What would you say is the most favorable trait of the ITR tranny? Shorter gears, or lsd?

Hell yes. Trust me, If you have GOBS of power and a SHITTY tranny and Gearbox, then your car will run shitty.

If you have decent power with an awesome tranny and gearbox, then your car will run great.

Going from a R tranny to a GSR tranny, man what a difference. I swaped a GSR longblock in my EG6 Cvic w/ Type-R tranny. 150 Miles later, final drive ring gear and pinion broke. Put in a GSR and damn what happend.

It's o.k. though Picked-up a 01 USDM ITR tranny yesterday for $400 from my work.
