Default Here is a good question?

I know that many say that OBDI's are faster. But is it quite possible that a GSR that has more horsepower could be slower just because it is a 99+. IE

99GSR w/ 165whp and 126ft/lbs=94GSR w/ same power

are they still eqaul as far as quarter mile racing?

MMM good question! I think it would depend what different parts the two cars had and if the motors did have some upgrades OBD 1 is definetely a more tuneable friendly computer so the upgrades would work better with the OBD 1 computer. If what you are talking about is what car would make it down the other end of the drag strip first I would have to say it would have to boil down to the differences of low end torque, mid range torque, and high end torque. Also the two different cars have different parts on them that affect weight differences such as wheels, front end,and things like that.(Remember for most cases horsepower is what you brag about but torque is what gets you down the track)
