Default decisions decisions...

i have a 91 crx si in excellent condition. I also have a '98 d16y8 im dying to swap in. i want to get a second car but here's my dilema...should i get a 2nd car to use as a daily driver and gut my crx and drop in the d16y8 or should i keep my crx stock and get an ef to drop the d16y8 in?

Well, personally I would get a 2nd car ( if I could afford it) and drop the Y8 into, something like a CRX Hf or Dx. But that's just me.

i would just try and keep that CRX you have in as good cond. as possible. if that means getting a second car to be a fast POS, then so be it. that is MHO.

I would trade me the CRX for my 91 Si and race the hell out of my car.

i gotta got the other way on this. you're talking about a 10+ year old car, it's a big enough pain for me to maintain my one civic (not to mention modding it), let alone two, plus the added insurance. ick. plus, dropping the y8 into the si would give you a killer daily driver. the y8, when done correctly, is a very factory-like setup, without shift linkages, mounts, or clutch crap to worry about. then, you could spend the extra money on the si upgrading the suspension or whatever.

would be a good idea, but the d16y8 is gonna be an all motor setup with a bigger cam and what not, so when im done it wont be a car i want to drive everyday to work.
