Default Finished swap then a Suburban crashes into me...Damage estimate please...(pics)

So I got some new plugwires on Saturday and after installing them, I decided to go do a little driving. I have put around 200 miles since I finished the swap 2 weeks ago because I was waiting for tracks to open etc...

What happened...After getting off the freeway, I stop at a red light intending to go straight once the light went green. The light turns green and the Suburban that is in the left hand turn lane opposite me starts to cut me off turning in front of me. I stopped and seeing me lock up the brakes I guess got the womens attention because she stoped to. At this point I decide to continue straight as there is still room to get through and I have the right of way. As soon as I drive like three feet, the crazy women just mashes the gas into my drivers side front corner...I really feel that it was not an accident on her part. I know my car is ugly as **** due to the crap paint job the previous owner got at maaco but I dont think it needed anymore help with that. I got all her info but I dont know if i should report this or try to settle it witout the insurance companys involvement.

my dad is a bodyshop manager so ive been around the shop enough and that looks purely cosmetic. Get an estimate and give it to her, if she refuses to pay for damages file a claim.

fender. blinker. your going to have to bang in the piece that connects to your bumper on the side.. the mount piece.. not fun

not that bad.. and your might need a new hood

where did you get that steering wheel its sweet!!

you'll probably need the fender, corner light, hood, and filler piece that goes between the headlight and bumper. I dont really know how much that will cost though, just bring it somewhere, they usually give free estimates. well around here they do at least. If at all possible, try to deal with it without filing it, just see if you can get the cash from her or something.

that sucks a load dude. i had the same thing happen to me, some guy in a toyota t-100 truck backed into me at a stop light. i went and i priced all new oem parts from honda and they were hood-$300, front lip(under lights)-$35, Front bumper-$177, turn signal lense-$67 and i think that is all you need. i need the front cross bar piece that the hood latches onto, thats $100. Your total comes out to ~$580 on parts alone. Or you could try and get a body kit and cf hood out of it like i tried because she wanted to keep it under the table. i'm only going to get the kit now, so in the long run you get what you want and you save the person money because their rate doesn't go up. just my 2 cents.Peace

thats going to have to pulled on the frame machine. the radiator support is bent as along with the left wheel house. the bolts for the fender clearly aren't inline. therefore its more than cosmetic

instead of fixing that front end. why dont you just get a complete JDM front end for about $450 and sell whats left of the USDM front end?

thats what i would do.

As soon as I opened up the hood and saw how it is bent where the fender bolts on I had a bad feeling.
I dont think my car is worth that much so it could possibly be totaled. The car is a theft recovery so will that make
any difference other than value?

I would consider geting a JDM frontend but I dont want the car to stand out too much.
I like keeping it somewhat beater status.

I got the steering wheel with the car in answer to your question. So I dont know other than it is a grant GT and is nice real wood. I get more compliments on the steering wheel than anything else LOL

i am a body tech and it looks like the pillar is smashed in as well as the door and fender and the rad support guyso other than the 350 for the new hood and fender your looking at at least a few hundred more for the frame pulling that must be done if it is actually bent the way that it looks in the pic . also dont forget the few hundred for the paint my man good luck .
