Default my civic is crunked

so i was going to my buddys house and all my lights started going dim and my efi stopped working, it seems like it should be the alternator but the battery light didnt come on. Also, the belt has been squeeking a lot lately...do you think the pulley might have froze and the belt is slipping over it and not turning it?

that happened to me in my hatch. it was the alternator belt that was loose and it would squeak a little then it would go away. you might want to take your alternator to like autozone and have them check it. you could get it rebuilt for like 20 bucks. and make sure when you put it back to make sure the belt is tight. good luck

around here it costs way more than 20 bucks to get an alternator rebuilt. take the alt. out, get it tested and replace the belt. also make sure ur battery it fully charged.
