And you have expressed written consent by spoon, mugen, spoon, toda, feels, pyr, skunk2, and J's racing to bootleg their chips right? If not...

edit: Stealing someone's car is no different than stealing someone's software

and yet.....more drama!!!
I guess he could sell him a Ecu program much like the PYR program, and then it would be ok.
I can get you that "PYR like" program too.

Just because YOU were bored enough to make a chip means that MINE are garbage? get a life dude, and i swear to christ, if you mess up another one of my sales, i will make your life a living hell. And also, for your information, I have a degree in Electronical Engineering, so i probably know more then you, so keep your mouth shut next time....

I'm not gonna get into he said this and that BS, but I can vouch for UberTeg and the programing he does. It is similar to hondata, but not exactly the same. He might not have a degree (yet) but he does know his stuff when it comes to ecu programing.

If you want people to vouch for me, ill show you a list of people, AS IF that means anything... Ive tried my best to make this message board more insightful and helpful to others, and i feel like im wasting my breathe talkin to this *******, because hes wasting my time, and all the others who are actually trying to learn something.. I didnt say he wasnt a good guy, im saying his post was uncalled for and pointless, and he lost a sale for me, which is a no-no

I'm also from the PGMFI forums and before you swear to Christ again I suggest you heed the following warning and listen to the knowledge im about to drop:

1. JET, Mugen, Spoon (who actually license some of the Mugen programs) and others ACTIVLY SEEK AND LISTEN TO PEOPLE IN REGUARDS TO COPYRIGHT VIOLATIONS. Don't believe me? I know a couple people who've gotten cease & desist letters.

2. UberTeg is not some stupid noob nor did he 'copy' Hondata. If he had, trust me Hondata would be all over the PGMFI forums *** and his. SO why don't you get your **** straight and call Doug if you need clarification on that issue. Just because something isnt cost prohibitive doesnt mean it DOESNT WORK. I 'beta' tested much of his ROM and I can tell you its top notch. So don't be so quick to judge and until you can sit down like some of us and code some Oki 66k assembly, sit down. His solution is MUCH cleaner and/or cheaper than any MAP hack / VAFC hack... not to mention all the other features like launch control etc. you get.

3. Yah, go figure he actually designed his own ROM instead of putting a copywrited ROM into his Batronix Eprommer and went File -> Save -> PYR.bin ... gimme a break.

4. To all you guys buying these ROM's, realize that for the most part these will really do NOTHING FOR YOU. Save the money and have a professional dyno tune your vehicle. Don't believe me? Dunno what to tell ya.

So in closing, I think you owe him an apology and HOPE that he doesnt decide to forward this thread and/or your business contacts to the legal depts. of those respective companies of who's ROM's you pirate. Selling copywrited roms is no different than selling bunk copies of Word 2000 et al.

why do you feel the need to bash this guy for trying to make an honest buck???

and i was actually gonna buy one of your BOOTLEG hondatas, but **** it .
Honest buck? WTF? Hes BOOTLEGGING programs he doesn thave a right to distribute! YOu obviouslly dont kno how software licensing works if you're comparing software to a turbo kit

I dont really care if you support e or not, i'm not here to make a million dollars, , just looking to make some money an engine build. And its not a bootleg hondata, its hondata's competition. I made it MYSELF w/out ANY hondata help or info.

sixtydashone contributes a lot to H-T forums, and i think its horseshit to single him out and kill his sale. I bought a drag turbo kit then turned around and sold it , does that mean drag is comming for me?..............................................a nd i was actually gonna buy one of your BOOTLEG hondatas, but **** it .I wouldnt feel right supporting you
-Jonathan
so by your logic me buying a copy of Windows XP and then sharing it with all my friends for the low price of only $20.00 is making an honest buck, right?

Think before you open your mouth.

And feel free to call his product Hondata ripoff when you can tell me what offset 60E6 on a P28 controls.

i have nothing more to say to this, your obviously gonna keep this goin till the wheels fall off , and if you dont care whether or not you potential customers support you or not, your not a very good salesman
-jonathan
Never said I was a salesman, and good jon chiming in on a thread and looking like an ***. I'm a college student not a business man. i will continue to s ell chips in my spare time regardless if I have your business or not. You're obviouslly just gonna sit here and take abuse (Because you cant argue against theft duh). o gracefully let this thread die
