Default considering crx or ef. few questions.

first off.

crx or ef hatch? is there any difference in insurace prices?

also, when it coems to swappage, whats my best bet?

does the b16a1 bolt up, even witht he cable tranny?

how much should i expect to pay for the car? and which one is cheaper. ive seen them around the 1500 range but can i get one for cheaper?

EDIT: also, hows the zc, does it bolt up to the stock tranny? will i need a new ecu? i see them for cheap, but i dunno how much work they will require and if they are powerful enough..
thanks in adance.

There was just a huge discussion on this topic.

CRX's typically cost more for insurance. Theyre the same for engine swapping, Si and HF models are easier to swap than DX/STD models (a bit more wiring). The b16a1 will bolt up using aftermarket mounts, shift linkage, and proper axles. Both crx's and hatches run from $500 to $5000, it all depends on the condition and whats been done to them. Ive noticed that crx's usually sell for a bit more because they are getting rare.

The ZC will bolt up to a Si or DX tranny. The Si is preferred for its shorter gear, but the DX will work fine. You can use the Si ECU (I think) someone correct me if im wrong. The ZC is one of the easiest swaps, direct bolt in, stock mounts, linkage, and axles work fine. Its a quick engine, not as fast a a b16, but noticeably faster than the d16a Si engine.
