Default Problems w/ Type S throttle body

Hey I have a Type S throttle body Im waiting to install but Im having an issue with the sensors on the USDM one. There isnt even a place for the MAP sensor to mount on the Type S TB and another sensor in the back has been riveted on so I cant swap it onto the new one. Has anybody else installed one of knows how to get around this problem?

For the TPS you just use a dremel to cut slots in the rivets, then unscrew them with a screwdriver.

If they're really rivets, then you can't unscrew them... they'll just turn but won't come out. You'll have to drill the rivets out.

They unscrew..

Dude you got hosed, there is no way that is a type-S TB if there is no MAP sensor on it...it's like an H23 TB or something

Here's a Type-S engine bay pic. The strut bar is in the way, but you can claerly see a pic on the MAP sensor right there

OBDI VTEC engines have them on the TB as well it's just the 4th gen S and Si models (F22A and H23A) that have the MAP on the firewall.

Like I have an bored out H23 TB on my H22a IM, so my Map sensor is like Hanging in my engine bay.

You can strap tigh it to your rails on the firewall, I had the same problem with my jdm h22 motor. But the STR throttle body, you can mount the map sensor on your throttle body cleanly.
