What spring rates (front and back) for a fully built CRX would you recommend?

This CRX will be seeing all forms of racing. Mainly Drag, but It will be raced at my local track, and AutoX, along with seeing the street.

What do you recommend?

Thanks

I don't think there is any combo that is perfect for all 3 types of racing you list, but something along the lines for 400-500# in the front and 600-900# in the rear will work well

i would set up for the track only... ...race it every where else

I would think that spring rate would be more important there then anywhere else..

Yeah, right now I'm leaning on a 400 front, and 650 rear setup. I will be running just Tokico Blues in the front (89 accord for shorter shock body), and then AGX's in the rear. I also plan on including a Sus. Tech. sway bar set, and replacing any worn out bushings with stock rubber peices.

This sound ok?

OH BTW, I already have a JimFab...

i doubt the blues or the agx will hold long under those spring rates...there is only one shock that will hold reliably, koni yellow...and even the 600lbs rear is pushing it

With those rates, you'll blow those shocks in no time

What about bilstiens?

I'm shooting for less expensive here, yet functional.

Thanks!

But what do you guy's recommend?

I really want to get a 89 Accord front shock setup to gain an extra 1" in travel.

Thanks!

Bryson

BTW, Anyone have a great online place that sells shocks from each of these manufactures?

Try http://www.shox.com , make sure you go and get a quote. They don't have prices on the webpage, but they email you a quote in less than 1 day usually.

dude.. you get what you pay for.. i don't want to hear you complain about how crappy your suspension is because you went the cheap route with shocks.. shocks make or break the suspension.. if you don't have the money for konis, then save.. especially if you wanna be serious and have a good setup.. otherwise, why bother to invest in a "racing" suspension if it sucks right out the hole? i learned the hard way with AGX's and skunks..

now, i have koni yellows and ground control coil overs with 500lb front and 600lb rear springs sitting in my garage, awaiting deployment to my car.

if i were you, i'd base my susp. setup for road racing because a good drag setup has around 300-400lb front spring and about 1200-1500lb rear springs..

also, for more info on spring rates for racing, search the racing forum..
