Clutch

How can you tell if the clutch is gone? I'm the reson I am asking is that my pedal is almost to the floor before it dis/engages. never used to be that low....

If a clutch is worn it won't release until it is very far off of the floor. I just put a brand new Exedy in and I have to slam the pedal against the flooring to get it into 2nd gear.
