question about d-series mounts
i have a few questions about the d-series mounts. first off, in the picture below -- what mount is that? i got the car as-is, without a motor. and it appears that's the only mount that the guy left for me. i've never done any type of swap before, so i'm clueless when it comes to this stuff.
secondly, if i'm swapping a d16y7 motor in, will 93 civic mounts work with the d16y7 motor mount brackets in the crx chassis? and i already know that i will need different mounts for the cable tranny. thanks for any help in advance.

I also have the factory mounts.
You should be able to use the civic mounts, but the tranny mount is prolly different. Ryan

okay, so i will need to use the 88-91 mounts. how about the bracket that holds the mounts to the engine. does it matter which year it is?
they all have the same place that the mount conects to...
I have a spare driver's side mount (the only one that accually attaches to the engine) and bracket that bolts to the block if you're starting to collect them... It may be easier to get them all at once from one parts car though to make sure you do accually get them all. Hit up breaka19, he's parting out an 88-91 and may still have all of the mounts.

not to steal the post, but a quick question .. he is talking about a y7, but for a z6 swap one of the mounts has to be a 92-95 mount??? I read this on a website somewhere, or would I just buy all new 88-91 mounts?

nope, they all have to be 88-91 mounts. three of the mounts will be on your tranny, and one on the drivers side. the one on your drivers side has to be changed to a 88-91 mount
