just did my b16 timing........car backfires
I finally did the timing on my crx this weekend, after doing the swap a month ago... It was pretty far off, but ran fine. So the car is timed now and backfires more than it did before, especially at high revs and vtec.... what gives??
Did you jump the service connector, when doing your base timing? If that's correct then what has been modified? Was the previous time setting retarded a few degrees?
There you go... jump the service connector, make sure the car is at normal operating temp, and at a normal idle. Then make your timming adjustment.
No the car has to be one, thats the only way you can get the timing light on the crank to set it at 16*.
TIming light connects to + and - on the battery and number 1 spark plug wire.
