washington/oregon SCCA members?
I live in Vancouver Washington and I would like to get into autocrossing. I took a prodrive class at Portland International Raceway and I got to run a autocross course as well as four 20min sessions on the road course, and it was a blast. I was wondering what I have to do to get a membership to SCCA or some sort of autocross events? Sorry I don't know much about this stuff, but I really wanna learn more! Any help would be appreciated.

In the NW you also have another perfectly reasonable option - the International Conference of Sports Car Clubs (ICSCC or "Conference"). It took me a while to figure it out 20+ years ago but Conference is a group of local clubs that participate to run a road racing series. (I don't think they have any autocrossing program - I don't think.) It is worth a look at http://www.icscc.com

Go to www.oregonregionsolo2.com, for information about Portland's SCCA autocross group.
Our next autocross is in early April on the 12th and 13th at PIR. I would recommend that you join SCCA since SCCA members are allowed to register first, and there is an entry limit, due to site limitations. You can join SCCA through their website at www.scca.org.
If you're not sure what all is involved, you are welcome to come down and talk with people at the event. We are all helpful and eager to share.

Thanks for all the help guys. I got another question though, do you have to be 18 to register, and if your under 18 can you have your parents sign something saying they will allow you to participate?
