I have a 90 crx with 92-95 projectors and molded corners. I want to get a 92-95 cf hood. How much different are the 2? I've seen the conversion before, I just want to know how much fabrication is necessary

 

i saw a guy over here do it, he had the 92-95 civic front and fenders as well. youre probably gonna have to run without bumper reinforcement though. drive carefully

 

There was a guy with that setup but he totaled his car. For a while I was the only one around here with that conversion. But I saw another one at a recent car show. Haven't seen him since.

I have a girl friend with a slammed civic hatch. I'm going to measure her hood and see how different it is

 

ah, is that you with the widebody and the taillight conversion?

 

the 92-95 hood is a lot longer than the crx hood. Left to right, it'll fit, but lengthwise it won't match up to your hood latch.

 

flatline - nope, that's the one from the show. Mine is far from show worthy

crxgsr - I guess I would have to cut the hood to make it fit


how hard is it to cut a CF hood?

 

i dont think it is safe to cuz the hood because it will fray...i may be wrong but its made out of a weave so i beleive it would fray off
