Saftey issues with sparco sprint seat.. any opinons/facts?
i'm looking into buying a sparco sprint seat for my 91 crx. i dont have a cage, and i wouldnt be running harness's. i autocross a few times a month, and dont do any road racing. i know that stock seats are designed in a way that makes them safe. bascailly i want to know if by putting this sparco seat into my car will i be sacrificing my saftey in any way? sorry if this sounds lame, i'm just concerned with driving a safe car on the streets.
thanks for any replies, and have a good one.

You just don't want to use a seat with thigh bolsters that also have harness slots. They will tend to push the seatbelt away from your body. You want a seat that allows the seatbelt to rest against you, like a Sparco Torino or Recaro SRD, if you aren't going to use a rollbar and harness.

Just disconnect the lap belts & run them thru the harness slots before reconnecting them. Lap belts tight against the body. No biggie.
Not saying this is right or wrong, just an idea a friend did. what do ya think?
