That all depends on how much you can get away with in your state. lol. In my state for example 35% is the darkest you can go. It all depends on how dark you want it to be. A lot of people dont like tint but i love it, it keeps your car cool in the summer time and protects you from UV rays from the sun in my crx i have 35% in the front 2 and 20% in the 3 rear. I did 20% in the rear cuz they cant test the glass back there only on windows that open. I am gonna redo my tint though because i messed it up a bit, this time im thinking about going even darker and going 5% in the rear 3 and either 20 or 35% in the front. I wanna go really dark cuz it gives me privacy and keeps thiefs roaming eyes from whats in my car and it will definitely keep my car cool in the summer, it will be like parking in the shade everywhere i go. One thing to consider though is rear visibility, like backing up at night, btu this is not a problem for me because crx's have a little long semi black tinted window in the hatch i can look through. I guess you could also put hyper white bulbs in your reverse lights to light things up better for visibility.
