Paint job...
I want a metallic blue or kandy blue paint job for my 1995 4dr GSR... is a $1000 paint job gonna look nice??? (non-hooked up by a friend).
I want it to look shiny and stuff... but I don't really care if it lasts hella long (at least 5 years though).
I definetly dont want Macco
Here are pictures of my car:

I don't wanna paint the engine bay or door jams... etc.. just what you can see from the outside

less than 3000 for a entire repaint and your looking at garbage.
you get what you pay for.
i'd get a 3 stage paint job, followed up with a 3 layer clear, and wet sanding to perfection.

I always tell people to get the warranty with the paint job. Tell them what you want and if they say they can do it good, have them write a contract to guarantee your job. If you are unsatisfied, They'll have to fix it.
btw...
I'm a freshman in college and I've never had a job in my life... so yeah... I barely have any money...
My dad's gonna pay for the whole paint job, but I doubt he'd be willing to spend a really huge amount on the paint job.

well the front bumper really really needs to be fixed... so many scratches it's not even funny, my college parking lot sucks...
also, it's a 95, don't you guys think there would be lots of oxidation?
i'll post close ups of the front bumper later

Hovah, do you have any pictures of your car online? When did you get your car painted?

OK my friend got a $700 MAACO paint job on his camaro, and it looks great. It's abouta year old, and it's black to boot. Most body shops send their cars to Maaco. You just have to find the right Maaco, some will treat your car like trash, and others will give it a great paint job. I like your car white, but blue is great too. I think if you find the right place, $1,000 will be just fine, especially since you're not painting the engine bay etc.
Definitely do the door jams. You will regret it later if you don't. The engine bay is not a big deal. You can always spray it flat black. So definitely consider this.

i don't even know what doorjams are, is it the area that you can't see from either the inside or outside when the door is closed, but when you open it you see some of it?
